It was time to go to the forest again in October this year. Even in the 10th year since its invention, the forest walks for women were well attended. This year's topic "Trees for the future ?!" took a look into the future during five forest walks and an online lecture with a total of around 100 women.
In the Fem4Forest project, we deal very intensively with the question of what it takes for women to gain more importance in forestry. From a lot of feedback, one aspect comes to the fore very clearly, among other things: There needs to be role models in the public who show that it is possible that women can do it too.
The 3rd International Conference on Women in Forestry took place on May 27th and 28th, 2022 at the WALDCAMPUS Austria in Traunkirchen, located at the beautiful Traunsee in Upper Austria. On the initiative of the Forstfrauen and the Interreg Danube Transnational project Fem4Forest, more than 70 participants from 13 European countries gathered at the largest forest education competence center in Europe.
