We are very pleased to present our partners, who are significantly supporting the Conference 2022:
Austrian Federal Forests
As Austria's natural enterprise, the Austrian Federal Forests (ÖBf) look after every tenth square meter of the country. They maintain, protect and manage the natural resources of the Republic of Austria - forests, lakes, mountains - in terms of sustainability. Economic success is associated with nature conservation and management of natural areas as well as with responsibility for people and society.
Equal treatment and the advancement of women are therefore part of the company's self-image. Almost a fifth of employees are women, two of the twelve forest operations are managed by women, and there is no functional group in which women are not also represented.
STIHL
Innovation from tradition.
The global chainsaw world market leader has been producing high-quality forestry and gardening tools for 96 years and offers the perfect tool for every need with a wide range. As a family business, quality, reliability and sustainability come first. That is why many of our battery products are produced in Austria. It's not for nothing that we say: "Made in Austria: more than three words."
This year we have the great honor of supporting the Forstfrauen Association and accompanying it in its further development. In addition to the Real People, STIHL People campaign, which we were allowed to shoot for the first time last winter with Forstfrauen member Andrea Pirker, we are sponsoring the Forstfrauen-Conference this year to continue to draw attention to what forestry women can do in forestry.
Association of the Austrian Wood Industry
The Association of the Austrian Wood Industry represents the interests of almost 1,300 wood processing companies in the wood construction, furniture, panel, saw and ski industries as well as in other wood processing companies such as pallet production.
With around 28,000 employees, the companies in the wood industry generate products worth 8 billion euros and a foreign trade surplus of 981 million euros. Within the wood value chain, the wood industry is a key sector and the starting point for many other uses of wood. More than 300,000 people are employed along the forestry and timber industry value chain, especially in rural regions. The timber industry is an indispensable part of the Austrian economy.

Austrian Forestry Society
The Austrian Forestry Society is the umbrella organization of all provincial Forestry Societies. It sees itself as a platform for everyone who cares about the forest and forestry. Forest owners and forest practitioners, experts from science and research, administration and other people, companies and institutions interested in the forest shape the Austrian Forestry Society and the provincial Forestry Societies. This results in a unique professional competence network for all questions affecting the forest.
The Austrian Forestry Society – sustainable and future-oriented. Our dealings with the forest are based on the principle that every life is respected, preserved and treated responsibly - for us, for our fellow human beings and for our descendants.
PEFC is the seal for products from guaranteed sustainable forest management. The PEFC system is the world's leading institution for promoting, ensuring and marketing active and sustainable forest management. Wood and wood products with the PEFC seal therefore come from ecologically, economically and socially sustainable forestry and the purchase of products with the PEFC seal supports sustainable forestry and wood management.
Austrian Forest Entrepreneurs Association
The forest entrepreneurs are a strong link between forest ownership and the processing wood industry. Traditional forestry work is no longer the exclusive domain of men, but it is evident that "woman power" is in demand in many areas. Both in motor-manual timber harvesting and in fully mechanized timber provision, where a great deal of skill and sensitivity is required. Female forest workers are more in demand than ever, and female managers in forestry and at decision-making levels are now indispensable. Behind many successful forestry companies are strong women who organize the internal processes and thus contribute significantly to the success of the company. It is the Austrian Forest Entrepreneurs Association therefore important to support the activities of the forest women.
